Newsletter #5 - Using Blogs to Generate Quality Search Engine
Tr@ffic
*************************************************************************

Dear friend --

Here's yet another content packed newsletter just for you...! I
hope you will have a week to absorb this....

This week of Newsletter 5, I will be talking Blogs as one of the
major sources of quality search engine tr@ffic techniques.

Overview of Blogs:

By now you should at least have heard of or have been influenced
by Blogs. If not, they are simply Internet based journals, but
they are so much more than that. Search Engines love blogs and if
you know what Search Engines love; then by giving them what they
want, you are likely to rank higher.

So...Earlier this week I sent out an announcement about a
WordPress Mass Installer Blog tool. This remarkable tool allows
you to create many blogs within minutes since most blogs take
time just to setup. The great thing is you can customize easily.
There is a similar tool that goes for $297, but WPMI is currently
$59 and the price is moving up every few days as listed on their
Website...

OK...So let's dive right in....Blogger vs. Wordpress:

They both have their advantages and I'll leave it up to you to
decide which one fits you best which are both f-r-e-e to use.

:Blogger:

You may also have heard of Blogger.com which is a popular tool.

Blogger.com has an extremely high page rank, which means that
your Blog will likely be indexed by Google, Yahoo, MSN, or other
search engines quicker by using Blogger. Another advantage is
that you don't need to host it. One disadvantage that I have seen
is that is that Blogger may delete your blog without notice and
without reason. This means if you are making $100/day from a
Blogger blog and it is removed, then your time put forth to
promoting that blog is finished. Blogger lacks the ability to
view your web statistics.

:Wordpress:

WordPress is a web based script that is stored on your own
website. This means you have to host it, but many people like it
better because you have full control over it. You decide when you
delete it and how you edit it. You can choose from hundreds of
themes / templates, but it is hard to modify the template.

This script is open source meaning there are a lot of plugins and
extra addons to the script that people have created. If done
correctly you could do very well with WordPress.

In summary, I would have to say that if you can do it or hire
someone to do it; use WordPress. If you can't do it then Blogger
is still an excellent blogging tool, but with a lack of features.

:Formula To Successful SEO using Blogs:

-> Blogs + Keyword Research + RSS + Marketing + Content

You've gotten a better understanding of "BLOGS" above...

:Keyword Research:

I went in depth about Keyword Reseach in Newsletter #1:

If you choose Blogger.com, then name your blogs:
keyword-keyword-keyword.blogspot.com

If you choose WordPress, then name your domains like
general-keyword.com and create niches within the general keyword
to be general-keyword.com/specific-keyword or
specific-keyword.general-keyword.com.

Remember that naming your domain names, file names, and content
after the keyword you want to rank high upon will do you a big
favor in the long run.

:RSS feeds:

Adding RSS feeds to your blogs will let Search Engines know that
your blog is constantly updating with new valuable content.

To learn more about RSS Feeds, you can glance through this ebook:

:Other Marketing techniques:

-Use forums and leave your blog link in your signature. Believe
it or not, people will look at your signature and I remember
getting a large amount of clicks throughs from forum just as I
posted good quality posts.

-Tag and Pinging is a new idea that has exploded on the web.
Sites like Technorati and many others have a social networking
feature that allows you to place your article under keywords or
"tags" that everyone interested in that tag can see. I'll go over
this next week.

-Place comments on other Blogs, but do NOT just leave short SPAM
comments, but insightful ones. This way your comment has a
greater chance on staying on the blog, adds value to the other
person's blog, but at the same time, gives you a link back to
your blog.

-Submit your blog to search engines such as MSN, Google; to blog
search engines, and rss directories.

-Write on your blog frequently so that Search Engines see it as
active.

-From f-r-e-e blog search engines and directories are...

Blog Search

Blogarama http://www.blogarama.com/
